What we'd usually build
One place where every trade order lands, however it was sent. That often starts simple: a reorder link your accounts open on their phone that remembers their last order and their price. Orders that still come by text or email get typed once, into the same list. Then invoices that go to your books, and reminders for accounts on terms. A full portal with logins only when your customers will actually use one.
When a ready-made app does the job (and we'll say so)
If your customers are happy ordering on a marketplace, or Shopify's own wholesale features cover your price tiers, we'll point you there. Many cafés and stores won't log into anything. If yours won't, we start by catching the orders where they already arrive, not by building a portal nobody opens.
Three questions to answer before anyone builds
- How do your accounts order today: text, email, phone, a form? Count the ways.
- Do different accounts pay different prices, and where does that list live?
- Who chases the money when an invoice is late, and how often?

Then a written proposal with the scope, one fixed price and the schedule, before any work starts. We build it, show you as it takes shape, and hand over your code and your accounts. One thing we can show you
For Barista Plus Coffee we built the wholesale enquiry form: it asks a café for its monthly volume by product line, brew type and equipment. A form, not a portal, because that's what was asked for. The reorder list and the payment reminders above haven't been built for a client yet, and we'd rather say that here than on a call.
